Grace in Kuantan, Malaysia

Kuantan, the capital and major seaport town of Pahang, Malaysia, has been home to Grace Specialty Chemicals Sdn Bhd since 1996. Commonly referred to as Grace Kuantan, the site is comprised of both a manufacturing plant as well as a technical services laboratory.

Sitting on 25 acres, Grace Kuantan is the company’s largest silica manufacturing facility in Asia and consists of three production lines that manufacture more than 50 grades of micronized silica for various applications including coatings, plastics, beverage, edible oil and biodiesel.

The plant’s manufacturing capabilities have continuously expanded since it began operations in 1996. The site has seen three expansions in 1998, 2011 and 2020. The continued growth of the facility is a direct result of sustained market strength and global customer demand.
