Grace in Pasadena, Texas

Grace’s Pasadena, Texas site is an important manufacturing and distribution site for polyolefin catalysts, which are used to make a wide variety of plastics used in everyday life. The site consists of three catalyst manufacturing units and a pilot plant, which is used to develop new manufacturing processes. A process technology laboratory is also on campus and provides support for product scale-up, process development and general problem solving.

The Pasadena plant manufactures LYNX® polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) catalysts. LYNX® PP catalysts are used commercially in all major PP process technologies, including slurry, bulk loop, stirred gas, fluid gas, and stirred bulk. LYNX® PE high-activity catalysts are utilized commercially in slurry processes for the production of high-density PE resins, such as bimodal film and pipe.
