Grace Celebrates Becoming a Standard Industries Company
On Wednesday, September 23, Grace employees gathered around the world to celebrate the historic milestone of Grace becoming a privately held company of Standard Industries. Standard Industries consists of more than 20,000 employees in 80 countries across their independent operating companies, including GAF, BMI, Grace, GAF Energy, Siplast, Schiedel and SGI.
All Grace employees were invited to a virtual town hall hosted by David Millstone and David Winter, Co-CEOs of Standard Industries, and Hudson La Force, Grace’s President and Chief Executive Officer. The CEOs answered questions submitted by employees on topics varying from their philosophy on safety to the future state of Grace as a Standard Industries company.
“We envision Grace as a platform for growth in the specialty chemicals space with a strong foundation through the company’s history and accomplishments to date,” said David Millstone and David Winter. “With this new ownership model, we are confident that Grace can leverage its global reach and leading market position to drive bold growth and innovation for decades to come.”
Grace sites around the world held day one celebrations. David, David, and other members of the Standard Industries leadership team joined the team at the Columbia site for their lunch celebration and then toured Curtis Bay, our largest manufacturing site in North America.
Today marks an exciting new chapter for Grace. As part of Standard Industries, Grace will be even better positioned to provide innovative and sustainable technologies to create value for our customers.
