Grace Earns Platinum Corporate Social Responsibility Rating from EcoVadis
Grace is proud to have achieved a platinum corporate social responsibility (CSR) rating from EcoVadis placing us in the top 1% of 56,000 suppliers in our industry. This is the first year Grace has received a platinum rating.
EcoVadis is the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. Our 2021 platinum CSR rating is an assessment of our environmental, labor & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement measures.
“A platinum CSR rating reflects our commitment to the highest standards of environmental, health, and safety practices, as well as business ethics and sustainable procurement,” said Keith Cole, Senior Vice President Public Affairs and Environment, Health, Safety and Chief Sustainability Officer. “We will continue to ensure that our ESG programs remain a priority in the planning and daily execution of all business activity.”
Receiving a platinum rating from EcoVadis was largely due to the launch of the Grace Responsible Sourcing Program in 2021. The Responsible Sourcing Program allows Grace to assess its suppliers to ensure they align with the company’s environment, healthy, and safety standards, as well as commitments to business ethics and sustainable procurement. Grace can assign suppliers corrective actions in these areas.
“Launching the Grace Responsible Sourcing Program underscores our commitment to sustainability and meeting the evolving expectations of our customers for their own supplier partners,” Joe Monfort, Responsible Sourcing Leader. “Our vision is to drive sustainability improvements and meaningful action so we can build responsible and resilient supply chains.”
To date, suppliers representing 70% of Grace’s direct spend have been assessed. Our goal for 2022 is to grow that percentage and begin working with suppliers to improve their sustainability performance and address issues relevant to our customers and the industries they serve.
