Grace Welcomes New Colleagues with Fine Chemistry Services Acquisition
On June 1, Grace announced the completion of its acquisition of the Fine Chemistry Services business (FCS) of Albemarle. This acquisition significantly strengthens and expands Grace’s pharma portfolio, which is the largest, fastest growing, and most profitable subsegment within our Materials Technologies business.
FCS adds a comprehensive portfolio of high-value products and services with highly complementary analytical, regulatory and manufacturing capabilities to Grace’s existing pharma portfolio focused on chromatographic resins, formulation excipients and drug delivery, pharmaceutical intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients.
“The talented and engaged FCS team shares our values and vision to be indispensable to our customers,” said Sandra Wisniewski, President, Grace Materials Technologies. “Our customers will be delighted with the benefits of the combined innovation and manufacturing capabilities.”
To celebrate this significant milestone, some of Grace’s seniors’ leaders traveled to the company’s two new sites in Tyrone, Pennsylvania and South Haven, Michigan that joined Grace as part of the acquisition.
"The FCS team is excited to join Grace and be a part of the growth engine in Materials Technologies. The combined business expands the Grace Fine Chemicals network across North America, advancing our ability to deliver value to our customers as a fully integrated development, manufacturing solutions, and services provider” said Scott Martin, General Manager, Fine Chemical Manufacturing Services.
