Supporting Refinery Sustainability Goals
Add value across the chain of renewable feedstock processing
As an industry leader in the refining industry, we have been working for decades to add value across the chain of renewable feedstock processing. A new article in the Summer 2021 issue of Catalagram details how Grace is developing products, licensing technology, and more directly supporting refiners in meeting their sustainability goals by processing renewable feedstocks.
Our Director of Energy Transition and Sustainability, FCC, Bob Riley and several other subject matter experts from Grace’s Refining Technologies and Material Technologies business divisions along with Advanced Refining Technologies, our hydroprocessing joint venture with Chevron, collaborated to cover the basics of co-processing to summarize our experience across different parts of the renewable feedstock value chain.
In many cases, prior to the introduction of the renewable feedstock to the FCC, refiners have leveraged Grace to understand potential impacts on unit conditions and yields, as well as mitigate potential risks ahead of commercial practice.
