ART’s distillate hydrotreating catalyst solutions provide contaminant removal crucial for maximum unit run length, maximum desulfurization for transportation fuel specifications and balanced aromatics saturation for volume swell for naphtha, middle distillates, ULSD, FCC pretreat and heavy gas oils applications.
StART® Catalyst Systems
For contaminant removal (Si, As) using ART’s AT catalysts series:
- The StART® (Silicon Tolerance by ART) catalysts system maximizes cycle lengths in silicon contaminated coker naphtha hydrotreaters.
- StART® catalysts extend the cycle length of naphtha treaters while also addressing increased incidence of Si contamination. This technology combines a state-of-the-art silica guard material, AT724G, along with the active HDS and HDN catalyst AT535.
- StART® technology has been widely accepted for high Si capacity coupled with high activity in naphtha service.
SmART® Catalyst Systems
For sulfur reduction, using our DX® series of catalysts:
- The SmART® (Sulfur Minimization by ART) catalysts system for ultra- low sulfur diesel has been widely accepted by the refining industry as top tier.
- The first SmART® system began operation at a North American refinery processing a feed containing 40% of a high endpoint LCO. Since then DX® catalysts have been selected for numerous applications as stand-alone catalysts or as components in a SmART® system.
- The system now includes high activity catalysts such as 420DX®. A third generation of still higher activity DX catalysts also are available including 420DX® (CoMo) and 545DX® (NiMo) for unparalleled performance in the production of ULSD.
ApART® Catalyst Systems
For FCC pretreatment, gas oil hydrotreating, using both AT® and DX® series catalysts:
- The ApART® (Advanced Pretreat by ART) catalysts system improves FCC economics by maximizing reduction of sulfur, nitrogen, and aromatics in FCC feedstocks.
- ApART® technology provides maximum HDS activity as well as significant upgrading of FCC feeds. Widely accepted with over scores of units in commercial service since its inception, ApART® helps refiners meet the challenges of clean fuels environmental standards with ultra-high-activity FCC Pretreat catalysts.
