At Grace, our commitment to community runs deep—and it’s driven by the passion of our people. One inspiring example is the work of Nichola Ramsay, Logistics and Supply Chain Manager, and the volunteer group she leads at our Pasadena, Texas location: “Giving Grace.”

Founded in 2019, Giving Grace is an employee-led initiative that channels both time and financial resources into the local community. From organizing quarterly donation drives to helping local nonprofits secure grants through the W. R. Grace Foundation, the group’s impact is tangible and far-reaching.

Supporting Local Organizations That Make a Difference

Through the Grace Foundation’s strategic giving pillars—Education, Community, and Environment—Giving Grace has supported a range of organizations, including:

  • Helping fund a new home build with Habitat for Humanity
  • Donating food and necessities for the homeless and survivors of domestic abuse with Sarah’s House
  • Protecting threatened habitats and expanding access to public land through monetary donations to the Texas Conservation Fund
  • Supporting the city’s annual “Fill the Bus” campaign by organizing a school supplies drive for local students and teachers

A Personal Mission to Give Back

For Nichola, leading Giving Grace is a passion project. “I love giving back and going out into the community—I enjoy meeting and talking to people,” she shares. “Supporting our local organizations financially and volunteering are great ways to engage our employees and to let people know we care about our neighbors.”

Among the approximately 130 employees at the Pasadena plant, many are actively involved in local philanthropy efforts, reflecting a shared belief that Grace’s success is intertwined with the vitality of the places we call home.

Living Our Values

Giving Grace is just one example of how Grace lives its values—not only through corporate giving, but through the everyday actions of our employees. Whether it’s hosting food drives, mentoring students, or protecting the environment, we’re proud to support the communities where we live and work.

Nichola writes a note wishing the students and teachers of Pasadena, TX a successful school year.

“Supporting our local organizations financially and volunteering are great ways to engage our employees and to let people know we care about our neighbors.”
