Grace sites in Worms and Düren, Germany have a decades-long history of providing apprenticeships for talented and highly motivated people ready to start a career with a global leader. A vast majority of our apprentices become full-time Grace employees at the end of their apprenticeships.
A team of experienced professionals provide guidance, training, and individual coaching in five apprentice categories:

The duration of apprenticeships are approximately three and a half years.
Our Apprenticeships

The chemical technician controls, operates and maintains production plants and independently eliminates malfunctions. During training, he/she learns basic laboratory operations as well as the measurement of physical variables, process engineering procedures such as cooling and heating, installation and information technology, and measurement and control technology.
Role responsibilities:
- Operating and monitoring our production facilities
- Eliminate malfunctions

The industrial mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair and improvement of machines and technical systems. He/she is involved in setting up, converting and commissioning production facilities.
Apprentices acquire the basic skills and knowledge of metalworking, manufacturing components/individual parts with machines, producing and assembling components and modules, maintaining, repairing, and installing technical and control systems.
Role responsibilities:

The electronics technician for operating technology installs systems for power supply technology, measurement and control technology, signal technology and propulsion and lighting technology. He/she puts systems into operation and maintains them. Electronics technicians for industrial engineering carry out their work independently, in compliance with the relevant regulations and safety provisions, and coordinate their teamwork with upstream and downstream departments.
Role responsibilities:
- Assembly of plants and systems of measurement and control technology, drive technology, power supply technology, etc.

The chemical laboratory technician deals with production analysis, application-related test methods, and research and development. Early on, the trainees specialize in laboratory work, especially in instrumental analysis.

Industrial clerks work in commercial and business management areas such as materials management and logistics, sales and marketing, human resources and finance. This profession is one of the most frequently trained commercial professions in Germany.
