This statement relates to the financial year ending December 31, 2020.
It is published by W. R. Grace & Co. and its subsidiaries (collectively, "Grace") in compliance with the UK's Modern Slavery Act 2015, and sets forth the actions that Grace has taken and continues to take to ensure that forced or compulsory labor and human trafficking do not occur in Grace's businesses and supply chain.
Grace's core values include an unwavering commitment to integrity and ethics. Grace's Business Ethics Policy affirms the company's commitment to comply with all applicable laws and be governed by the highest level of business ethics.
Grace is committed, wherever we operate, to the protection and advancement of Human Rights, as detailed in our Statement of Human Rights, which documents the company's commitment to not use child or forced labor; to recognize employees' freedom of association; and to protect the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate.
Grace expects our business partners to share this commitment to operate with the highest standards for business ethics, human rights, environmental protection, and workers' rights. Grace's policy requires that all third parties who provide products or services to Grace ("Suppliers") act in compliance with Grace's Supplier Code of Conduct and adopt practices that are consistent with it. In particular, our Code of Conduct requires that no form of forced or compulsory labor be used by Grace's Suppliers, and that workers have safe and healthy working conditions that meet or exceed applicable standards and laws.
Grace requires that its Suppliers with a minimum defined annual spend sign Grace's Supplier Code of Conduct to affirm their commitment to meet these standards or confirm in writing that the Supplier's own code of conduct meets or exceeds the standards set forth in Grace's Code of Conduct. Grace encourages our Suppliers to require their own suppliers and subcontractors to adhere to the requirements and principles of Grace's Supplier Code of Conduct in their operations. A Supplier's failure to meet these standards is grounds for Grace to terminate any contracts and transactions with the Supplier.
Grace remains committed to managing any risks of forced labor in its supply chain and applying practices that ensure Grace Suppliers adhere to Grace's core values.
